Welcome to JISMUN 2025!
Esteemed MUN directors and student representatives,
It is our great honor as the Secretaries-General of JISMUN 2024 to cordially invite your school’s delegation to attend our MUN conference, hosted by Jakarta Intercultural School. As the sixth of its kind, we are excited to host and facilitate fruitful discussions and debate. As the global political landscape stands polarized and grows more divided still, it is this discourse on the most pertinent global issues that is imperative to reach reconciliation and solutions.

This year, we have gathered a handful of passionate, experienced chairs within and outside JIS, who come from a variety of schools all over Jakarta. Chairs will be guiding delegates through fruitful debate in eight different committees, each with complex, relevant, pressing, and exciting topics.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we use laptops and other electronic devices?
Yes (except for ICJ, which will have to print all relevant documents before the conference).
When are position papers due?
There will be no position papers; please prepare a 1-minute opening speech that addresses your country’s stance on both topics (to be presented in the first committee session).
Are there special procedures for the League of Nations or House Committee on Foreign Affairs?
No, they will both be debated under standard THIMUN procedure.
